- 1 cup rice
- 2 cup water
- as per taste Salt
- 2 tbps chopped potato
- 2 tbsp chopped carrot
- 2 tbsp chopped capsicum
- 2 tbsp green peas
- 2 tbsp chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 inch grated ginger
- 1 green chilli cut in spilit
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Handful coriander leaves
Steps to make to make Taheri
- Wash rice and sock it for 30 minutes.
- Now heat oil in pan or cooker. Add potato, green peas, carrot, capsicum turn by turn and sute it.
- Now add tomato, ginger and green chilli. Saute it also.
- Now add all spices. Let's stir it for 30 second.
- Now remove water from rice and saute it with vegetables for 1 minutes.
- Now add 2 cup water. If you are using pan add 1/2 cup water extra if required.
- Allow 2 to 3 whistles on law to medium flame.
And put pan on low to medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes. In between check it for 2 to 3 times. - Our Tahari or Masala Baht is ready. Transfar in serving bowl and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.
